I never like talking about myself, but here goes. I'm a journalist, college professor, blues Man, sailor and romantic. I've seen a lot in my lifetime and I want to see a whole lot more and nothing can make it better than sharing those experiences with a beautiful woman who is smarter than me, which really won't take that much. I'm retired. I've decided to write books part time for a little extra money. Just finished writing one with one of the capitol police officers who defended the Capitol January 6th, Harry Dunn. The book comes out in October. But aside from that, I've lived in Brazil, chicago, Los angeles, atlanta, St louis, baltimore, Washington DC and now in Annapolis Maryland. I'm originally from Memphis and my family is from a little town called Itta Bena, Mississippi, which is where I think my blues roots come from. Love all kinds of music, particularly jazz. Trying to learn how to salsa, so I want to go spend some time down with Dominican Republic or Panama to get my moves down. As a journalist, I covered a little of everything, from presidential campaigns, to Congress, to natural disasters and Avon ladies in the Amazon. I covered the war in Iraq twice, which really changed my life, and I spent about 6 weeks covering news in Vietnam. I learned that I like being a stranger in a strange Land. I love being active but I really love doing nothing, like laying around on the beach all day I'm trying to figure out where am I going to have lunch and then maybe where will I shuffle my feet a little bit on the dance floor later that night. I like living highbrow and lowbrow. No I don't like camping, did 3 months of that doing my first tour in Iraq. I'm talking about the serious sleeping in the mud every night camping. Don't need that. I want a woman who is self assured to the degree that she doesn't feel like she has to prove herself. She knows she's pretty she knows she's smart, she knows she is resilient and special, so she doesn't have to prove it. That's enough crap about me. We will work out the rest of the phone
