I Would Describe Myself As
I believe in God and family however, I am not the family/church/travel type of guy any longer. I am sort of in a "reflective" mode right now, meaning that I'm not intentionally trying to create lasting memories, with new experiences, other than meeting someone that I am comfortable being with.
Most of the women I have viewed on this and other dating sites seemed to be looking for a companion to share family/church/travel activities with. Those type of activities, along with work, were a priority when I was 60 and under, but at 67 they are no longer.
My priorities now are to reflect (laugh and cry) on what was and wasn't accomplished in the past, with someone that has experienced similar ups and downs. If we don't take the opportunity to reflect on things in our 60s when will we take the time.
I don't mean to sound depressing. I still enjoy going out to dinner and discussing trending topics. I just don't want to feel compelled to attend family gatherings on holidays; church on Sunday; and visit other states and countries to see how other people live.
Lastly, I would prefer that you look at this.....as an unusual approach to dating however, please don't interpret my lack of desire for these activities as me being cheap or antisocial, because, I am neither.
