I am a creative. Music is my profession. My resume is pretty profound. I was Nominated for a Grammy last year and have contributed my talent to hundreds of Grammy winning records. I'd like a partner who would not be intimated or jealous about what I do for a living. I am not changing who I am to accommodate anyone.
Nor would I ask anyone to change for me.
I like to cook, and travel, I like most sports. Basketball is my favorite, however I love to watch football because I like to look at the butts. 😄 I love high fashion, theater, all types of music. Jazz is my favorite. I like to paint, I love perfume, taking baths, and wearing dresses. I like jeans too, just not all the time.
I am extremely close and protective of my family, and my dog. Any derogatory comments regarding my kin and it's a wrap.
I have worked with a lot of very wealthy people, however I live a normal middle class life. I am old school to the core. I like gentlemen who open doors for me, I would like a man who is financially stable, a protector and a great provider. Who has good self-esteem and is secure with himself. Confident NOT conceited. There is a huge difference. I like a good handyman.
I have been a caretaker for two siblings and both of my parents. I would like a physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy partner who is emotionally available. One who would make me a priority.
If children are involved, I would prefer that they'd be grown and married. Definitely living their own independent lives. I'd would like him to be aware of current world news events as well as a good knowledge of African American culture and history. My best friend grew up in the house where Martin Luther King planned the March on Selma. I performed for the surviving Civil Rights Leaders who marched with Dr.King at 50th Anniversary Celebration of the March. I have always been interested in our history. I am a former Fisk Jubilee Singer so the history effects me a little differently.
I studied Music at Fisk University Belmont University and Tennessee State University. I am a Meharry baby. I come from a highly educated and accomplished family in the field of Medicine. However we are all down to earth. If
I were to choose Medicine it would be Holistic/Homeopathic.
I have gained a lot of stress weight over the years. However I finally feel really good about myself. I have witnessed a lot survived a lot. And I know I am blessed to still be alive. I appreciate a well groomed man, ( clean is sexy to me) a little overweight doesn't bother me. Please have a healthy mouth. Bad teeth can lead to heart disease. I prefer a non-smoker, a moderate drinker, ( occasional beer or wine), drug free, non selfish, slow to anger man, who absolutely adores, his mother and sisters. I am only interested in a certified heterosexual full grown man. Who is sensitive and supportive and compassionate. Let me be clear up front. I am not desperate. I have never been married because I have yet to meet the person God has for me. The devil has sent a few counterfeits whom I have learned great lessons from. I am actually at peace being single. Sure I miss the male energy. However right now I am free to love on me. It's a good thing.
